Life sentence for 15-year-old boy who killed a suspected paedophile ‘to teach him a lesson’
The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was told that he must serve at least nine years in jail for the murder of 45-year-old suspected paedophile, Robert Daley.
Also arrested was a girl of 15 who said that Mr Daley had abused her- she was given a six-year sentence for his manslaughter.
The court heard that Mr Daley was stabbed five times last April at his flat in Brixton, south London, just hours after a separate sex abuse case against him was dropped.
It is reported that the girl, her 16-year-old sister and a woman had complained to the police that Mr Daley had abused them, but only the 16-year-old was willing to proceed with her allegations.
The complaint led to his arrest but lawyers decided there was a distinct lack of evidence and the case was dropped.
